"Re-blogging": John Piper on Joy IN and Fear OF the Lord

Andy Coburn on September 12, 2011

This is so good that I had to pass it along: September 12Rejoice with Trembling: A Meditation on Psalm 2:11-12John Piper   Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. "Serve the Lord with fear . . .This command does not cancel out Psalm 100:2: "Serve the Lord with gladness." Serving the Lord with fear and serving the Lord with gladness do not contradict each other. The next phrase will make that plain...

The Better Way to Download Sermons: iTunes Podcast

Andy Coburn on May 12, 2011

If you are willing to go out and get new software from the internet, then in my opinion, this is the way to go in downloading audio (like our sermons) from the internet onto your computer. The good news: the software is free! If you have a Mac (Apple) computer, then you don't have to trouble yourself. You already have what you need. If you are Mac user, I won't insult you with any further instructions. Just know that our Sermon Podcast is now "live" in iTunes! Andy Coburn on May 11, 2011

Well, here we are. We have never had any audio up before and now we do. I put up the sermon from Rev. Les Newsom, who spoke at our special services back in early March. I didn't have any of Bill's audio ready, but since I made the discs for people who requested copies of those sermons, I already had Les on my computer! Soon we will be listed on iTunes which will also add an element to make us more accessible. Still have a few more things to do, but I am surprised how easy it was to build...

Trying to Launch a New Website

Andy Coburn on May 10, 2011

Hi everyone! We hope you will find this new website easy on the eye and easy to get around. We are ever learning and ever improving (hopefully!). Soon we will try our hand at putting up sermons for you to be able to listen to. You will be able to access them on this website or through "iTunes" (if you don't know what that is, just ask a teenager and they can give you all info you need). Please pray that this will help improve our overall communication to the world around us and amongst our outpost of Christ's kingdom!
